<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://gallagherfuneralhome.net/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/47_144203.jpg" alt="Roland Lawrence Zoeller" />Roland Lawrence Zoeller, 92, of Oconto, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Country House, Oconto.  Roland was born June 2, 1920 in Stiles to the late Oliver and Frances (Schultz) Zoeller.  He married Berdine Krueger on September 26, 1942.  She preceded him in death on November 4, 2000.  Roland drove truck for Jackie Foster Inc. for many years.  He enjoyed playing cards, gambling, hunting and fishing.  Roland was a loving father.

Roland is survived by three daughters Sandra Samsa; Susan (Alan) Caelwaerts; Cynthia (Michael) Pecor, all of Oconto; one foster daughter Tina (Tom) Kitchenmaster , Crivitz; two brothers Marvin (Shirley) Zoeller, Oconto; Vernon (Carol) Zoeller, Oak Orchard; a sister-in-law Leona Zoeller, Green Bay; two brothers-in-law Gerald Townsend, IL; Wilbert Longsine, Oconto; ten grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter.  He was preceded in death by five sisters, Helen Bloom, Arlene Longsine, Elizabeth Townsend, Jackie Corbit, Claudine Zima, and three brothers Reuben, Sylvester and Bernie Zoeller.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, from 4 to 8 PM Tuesday, May 28, 2013.  Visitation will continue on Wednesday, May 29 from 10 to 11 AM.  Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Mary Zupansic officiating.  Burial will be at the Brookside Cemetery. <title>Terese Lynne Trepanier [07/15/1959 - 05/15/2013] </title>

<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://gallagherfuneralhome.net/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/47_143763.jpg" alt="Terese Lynne Trepanier" />Terese Lynne (Terri) Trepanier passed away peacefully on May 15, 2013.  She was born in Oconto on July 15, 1959 to Ralph and Florence (McIntosh) Trepanier.  Although she was born with Down Syndrome and recently, Alzheimer’s, Terri enjoyed a long and happy life.  She graduated from Degantown School and worked at New View Industries in Gillett for many years.

Terri participated in Special Olympics and enjoyed traveling to Stevens Point yearly to compete at the state level.  She was named Oconto County Special Olympics Athlete of the Year in a ceremony at The Radisson in Green Bay on August 15, 2005.  Her Olympics medals were a highlight for her.  She also loved spending a week or two at Camp Daniel, at Athelstane, during the summer.  Terri enjoyed times spent eating out and “Sister Lunches”, other events at the Arena, Meyer Theatre and Weidner Center.  She enjoyed bingo and local area casinos where she played the nickel slots.  Terri watched sports on television and enjoyed some games in person.  She had several signed autographs from the Packers, Brewers and Timber Rattlers.  She was an avid word search puzzler, and ready to enjoy fishing anytime, although she didn’t like to take the fish off the hook.

Terri is survived by two sisters: Arlene (John) Pacourek, Coleman;  Carol (Rich) LeBreck, Lakewood;  Nieces: Lisa (Ron) Schmidt, Lori (Kris Rolfhus) Pacourek, Shelly (Jeff) Tomany and Tara (Doug) Kohanski; Two nephews: Todd (Terri) Trepanier and Chad LeBreck; Great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.  Terri was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, a brother, Ken (Joyce) Trepanier, many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to Dan Schroeder, Jackie Witt, and the staff of Visions of Oconto County for their care and concern for Terri all these years.  Beverly Beutler and all Terri’s caregivers at Superior House who were like a second family to her.  Dawn Coors, her vigilant caseworker, who always found a way to get things done, Dr. Leong, and the many healthcare workers who helped Terri throughout the years.  Several times she was on the verge of leaving us and with the dedication of those around her, she would come back and be ready to go for a cheeseburger and fries.  We were all so thankful to have had Terri with us for almost 54 years.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Oconto, from 9 to 11 AM  Monday, May 20, 2013.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Monday at the church with the Rev. Joel Sember officiating.  Burial will be at the Oconto Catholic Cemetery. <description><![CDATA[<img src="http://gallagherfuneralhome.net/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/47_143390.jpg" alt="Shirley Ann Bishop" />Shirley Ann Bishop, 77, of Oconto passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Wednesday, May 8, 2013.  Shirley was born June 20, 1935 to John and Margie (Beekman) Stock.  She married Raymond Bishop in September of 1954.  He preceded her in death in July of 1982.  Shirley enjoyed shopping, rummaging, antiques and flea markets.  She also enjoyed crocheting, sewing and knitting hats and scarfs for all of her family and many friends.  Making cookies, cupcakes and arts &amp; crafts with her grandchildren and nieces and nephews was one of Shirley’s fondest memories.

Shirley is survived by a son, Todd (Ruth) Bishop, Oconto; father, John Stock, Oconto; grandchildren, Robby and Becky (Sam); great-grandchild, Garrett; nieces, Cindy (Paul) and Renee; nephews, Kevin and Steve; great-nieces, Angie (Greg) and KayLeigh; great-great-nieces, Madison and Lillie; great-great-nephews, Jerid, Craig and Steven. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Margie Stock and brother, Jack Stock.

<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://gallagherfuneralhome.net/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/47_142435.jpg" alt="Lonnie Lee Kasbaum" />Lonnie Lee Kasbaum, 53, of Oconto, lost his battle with diabetes, Wednesday, April 24, 2013.  Lonnie in his younger years worked for Witt Ford in Crivitz and Cruisers Yatchs.  He tended bar for Woody’s OK tavern for many years.  Lonnie lived most of his life in Oconto and Crivitz.  Lonnie loved to cook and tinker with cars.   He had a love for the Oconto breakwater and enjoyed spending time relaxing out there.  

Lonnie is survived by his parents, Linda (Jerome) Kopp and Lee (Ann Marie) Kasbaum all of Oconto; a daughter, Stacie Jo (Jason) Rojek, Peshtigo; two grandsons Zachariya and Whyatt; brothers, Leland “Joe” (Teresa) Kasbaum, MO; Leroy Kasbaum, Oconto; half-brother, Jayme (Carol) Kopp, Gillett; step-brother Jerome (Carol) Kopp, Peshtigo; sisters, Lori (Brian) Tonn, Peshtigo; Leah (friend Larry) Zahorik; Gillett; Lu (Paul) Stenstrup, Oconto; step-sister, Cindy Kopp, Porterfield; significant other, Diana Meni, Oconto.  He was preceded in death by his twin brother Larry and brother Lennie, grandparents, Martin and Jane Lade, John and Mary Kasbaum, and brother-in-law Jeff Zahorik.

<title>Melvin &quot;Chopper&quot; Draeger [11/14/1919 - 04/19/2013] </title>

<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://gallagherfuneralhome.net/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/47_142164.jpg" alt="Melvin &quot;Chopper&quot; Draeger" />Melvin “Chopper” Draeger, 93, of Oconto passed away Friday, April 19, 2013 at Sun Valley Homes II.  Born in Oconto, Wisconsin on November 14 1919, Chopper attended Oconto schools and graduated in 1937. The following year, he joined the Company “C” of the Wisconsin National Guard 127th infantry, 32nd division. Drafted into World War II on December 7 1942 into the 106th cavalry regiment, he served as regimental bugler. Later transferred to 343th Military Police Company, he served in the Pacific theater for 28 months, and was stationed on New Caldonia, Guadacanal, New Guinea, Luzon, and Japan. He served 39 months without a furlough, for a total of four years before being honorably discharged. Following his service, he was Commander of the VFW Post in Oconto, a member of Post 74 of the American Legion, and a life member of Cloverland post of the Disabled American Veterans. 
Chopper married Rosemary Carriveau on February 8 1955. He worked for the Oconto Milling Company for 41 years, 28 of those as manager, secretary and treasurer. Active in local affairs, he served on the Oconto City Council, chaired the Board of Public Works, was president of the City Parks Board, and the City Health Officer. After retirement in 1978, he moved to Tipler, Wisconsin with his wife, Rosemary, where he served as town chair for one term and worked part-time in various positions for Town of Tipler. After 18 years, he and Rosemary returned to Oconto.
Chopper played trumpet in many area dance bands, besides playing “TAPS” for civic programs and military funerals for many decades. He loved to tinker, fish, and hunt. He was a long-time Packer season ticket holder and avid fan having attended games since the age of 12. His friends and family will remember his exceptional memory and fascinating stories of the people and places of Oconto’s past.
His parents, father William C Draeger and mothers Inez Toole and Mildred Leda, preceded him in death. He was the last surviving among his siblings H. J. “Jim” Draeger and Lois [Draeger] Melody Fulton. He was preceded in death by son, Sigurd Charles Fornell of Appleton. He is survived by four children: Carolyn (Don) Walsh of Green Bay, Mary Lade (Bruce Mommaerts) of Oconto, Jim (Cindy) Draeger of Monona, WI, and Susan (Curt) Coker of Cleveland, OH, along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://gallagherfuneralhome.net/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/47_141029.jpg" alt="Mabel A. (Routheau) Helmer" />Mabel A. (Routheau) Helmer, Oconto, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Woodlands of Oconto one day short of her 96th birthday.  Mabel was born in the town of Little River to the late John and Louise (Cota) DeHut on April 4, 1917.  Mabel married Clair Routheau on December 19, 1936.  He preceded her in death on September 19, 1964.  She later married John Helmer on February 19, 1977.  He preceded her in death on October 24, 2002.  Mabel worked at several jobs over the years to support her children, but was most happy spending time with her family, and enjoying showing off her flowers and garden.  She also enjoyed fishing whenever she had the chance.  She was an excellent cook, and made sure that each of her children had their favorite pie available when they visited.  She enjoyed shopping trips and flea markets, always excited to find that special treasure to show the family.

Mabel is survived by two sons, Rodney Routheau and children Michael Routheau, Kristine (Tom) Smith, and Brett Routheau; Clark (Julie) Routheau and children Jenny (Travis) Shufelt, and Samantha (fiancé Dustin Boucher); two daughters, Karen (Jim) Konop; and Penny (Roger) Aubut and children Lance, and Kim (Tim) LaPlant; as well as grandchildren, great grandchildren and step grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends.  Also surviving is her sister, Eleanor Mraz, Oconto.  She was preceded in death by six brothers, Lyle, George, Harry, Ray, Roy and Donald; and five sisters, Irene Ragen, Muriel Olson, Ruby Lasley, Louise Scharmann and Mary Sief.
 
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, from 10 AM to 12 Noon Friday, April 5, 2013. Bea lived out her final days at her childhood home address of 418 Adams Street., Oconto.    Bea was born July 2, 1929 in Oconto to the late Ransom and Laurina (LeMay) Rhode.  She married Francis “Tat” Messenger on June 20, 1953.  He preceded her in death on April 15, 2004.

Bea is survived by three sons, Keith “Black” (Cindy) Messenger, Oconto; Ken Messenger, Oconto; Brian (Rachel) Messenger, Oconto; two daughters, Amy (Butch) Mehlberg, Oconto; Ann (Joel) Hornblad, Oconto;  a brother Ransom “Buck” (Audrey) Rhode, Coleman; and eight grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a sister Ann “Tootie” Bitters.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, from 4 to 8 PM Friday, April 5, 2013 with prayer services by Chaplain Karen Ann Hanson.  Visitation will continue on Saturday, April 6, 2013 from 11 AM to 1 PM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Oconto.  Mass of Christian Burial will be co-celebrated by Rev. Joel Sember and Rev. <title>John E. Dumke [08/21/1951 - 03/30/2013] </title>

<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://gallagherfuneralhome.net/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/47_140908.jpg" alt="John E. Dumke" />John Dumke lost his courageous battle with Leukemia on Saturday, March 30th at home with his loving wife Sue &amp; sister-in-law Janey by his side. John was born August 21, 1951 to Leo &amp; Carroll (Ihde) Dumke of County Line. John was married to his sweetheart Susan Wasurick on June 5, 1976 and also resided in County Line until the time of his death. 
Aside from spending time with family &amp; friends, John loved working on tractors &amp; farm equipment. John began working for his father right out of high school at Dumke Farm Supply. In 1981 John &amp; his brother Richard went into partnership &amp; purchased the business from their parents and renamed it Dumke Brothers Farm Equipment Sales &amp; Service where he worked with Richard &amp; his wife Sue until the time of his illness. John always said that he never considered their customers as customers, rather they were all friends.
John was a proud member of the Oconto Elks Lodge #887. This organization was very dear to his heart &amp; John was Elk of the Year for his Lodge in 2011 &amp; shared that honor with his brother Rich in 2007. He always enjoyed grilling steaks for their golf outings, flipping pancakes for their pancake breakfasts &amp; working the Elks tents during Copperfest &amp; the fishing derbies. The one event he most enjoyed helping out at was the yearly Venison Stew Dinner.
John had many interests &amp; loved the outdoors. In the summertime he loved golfing with his golf buddies &amp; his friend Dennis Shufelt and his nephew Ryan Earley. He also loved fishing &amp; especially looked forward to their yearly family &amp; friends camping trip at Shakey Lakes in Michigan where he could fish with his nephew Dan Mills from Indianapolis. John also enjoyed deer hunting on his friend Kent&#039;s property. John often served as the grill master at family 
gatherings and he loved gardening and mowing the lawn. John was a life long bowler and enjoyed playing cards with the guys after league each week. He was an avid Packer fan &amp; they enjoyed getting together at Janey&#039;s to cheer on their team. John also enjoyed watching shows about Alaska &amp; dreamed to go there one day. One of John&#039;s most favorite hobbies was making maple syrup each spring with his brother Rich &amp; other family members. Mrs. Butterworth
couldn&#039;t compete with the Dumke&#039;s maple syrup.
Survivors include John&#039;s wife Sue, his parents Leo &amp; Carroll Dumke, a brother Richard (Wendy) Dumke of Oconto, a sister Sandy (Vic) Heitzkey of Green Bay, a sister Barb (Jim) Shufelt of Oconto &amp; a sister Darlene (Paul) Meagher of Fremont, a sister-in-law Mary Mills of Indianapolis, a sister-in-law Judy (Ken) LaFortune of Oconto, brother-in-law Jim (Dede) Wasurick of Green Bay, Donna Bushmaker of Oconto &amp; special sister-in-law Janey Belongia 
of Oconto. John has many nieces, nephews, great-nieces &amp; great-nephews who will miss him terribly. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, August &amp; Thersa Dumke and John &amp; Lillie Ihde, his father and mother-in-law Alvin and Ruby (Reed) Wasurick Sr., three  brothers-in-law Alvin Wasurick Jr.,  Roger Wasurick &amp; Rocky Mills, and two sisters-in-law Jean Belland &amp; Elizabeth (Betty) Wasurick. 

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, from 4 to 9 PM Wednesday, April 3, 2013 with an Elks service at 7 PM.  Visitation will continue on Thursday, April 4 from 10 to 11 AM at the First Presbyterian Church, Oconto.  Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM Thursday at the church with the Rev. Craig Alwin officiating.  Burial will be at the Evergreen Cemetery.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.gallagherfuneralhome.net.

<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://gallagherfuneralhome.net/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/47_140205.jpg" alt="Ruth Mae Belongia" />Ruth Mae Belongia, 97, of Oconto, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2013 at San Louis Manor, Green Bay.  Ruth was born March 13, 1916 in Oconto to the late Holger and Hattie (Blank) Petersen.  She married Isaac Belongia on February 18, 1939.  He preceded her in death on March 22, 1945.  One of Ruth’s loves was baking cakes and cookies for family and friends.  She was also proud of the chicken pie she made for the church dinner.  Ruth was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Oconto, and the Guild Circle.

Ruth is survived by two sons, Jack (Patricia) Belongia, Suamico; Robert (Sue) Belongia, Green Bay; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Petersen, Appleton; four grandchildren, Kellie Belongia, Beth Ann (John) Courtney, Jodi (David) VanErem, Allan (Sandy) Belongia; five great-grandchildren, Jenna, Brynn, Claire, Vincent and Veda.  She is also survived by her two God children Jeri Pack and Larry Rouse, many nieces, nephews and friends.
